Narrative to Investigate Language Skills of Preschool Children

This study aimed to evaluate the language skills of preschool children through narrative. The Turkish Test Early Language Development (TEDIL) was used receptive and expressive verbal children, samples were collected using Edmonton Narrative Norms Instrument (ENNI). Mean Length Utterance (MLU), Number Different Words (NDW), Total (TNW) examined in taken from narrative analysis. A total 100 50 age group 48-60 months 61-72 months, evaluated. According results obtained evaluation between ages 48 60 61 72 it found that, more likely tell longer stories than months. It seen that there developmental differences NDW TNW these two groups. has been revealed ENNI can be as a tool assess children.
